The University of Mysore established its School of Law in 2006, marking a significant milestone in legal education in Karnataka. Initially offering a 5-Year B.A.LL.B. B.Com LLB. (Hons) course starting from 2007, the School operates under a self-financed scheme within the Department of Law. This initiative received approval from the Government of Karnataka and recognition from the Bar Council of India, New Delhi, ensuring its adherence to national standards in legal education. The School of Law prides itself on imparting high-quality legal education aimed at nurturing a generation that values equality, human dignity, and social consciousness.
